A fairly annoying bug has been spotted in the Edison Mail application, which is an email client. Users have had the unpleasant surprise of accessing other people’s accounts (and therefore e-mail) without having their identifiers or passwords.
This issue has emerged since the appearance of a new feature in Edison Mail that allows users to synchronize their accounts so that they appear on all their devices. There is clearly a problem here since users are only supposed to have access to the accounts that have been set up.
Edison Mail took the floor following this bug which is a big problem for confidentiality. In a tweet, Edison Mail says:
