And get this, not always with Wrath. I hope Xcor would just you know, give up on dooming Wrath.
The first sex scene Anyway, since I re-read all the previous books, I’m pretty much used to all the other storylines we get next to our main couple. We read Blay’s bonding #111 at the end.
Definitely makes me want it BAD. JR Ward has always been fantastic in interweaving several plot lines in her books, it has helped build the scene for future books, and has almost always been done flawlessly.
Lover at Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward (3 star ratings)
Our boys have changed so much from the beginning. I felt that he lkver I were finally formally introduced in this book and I must say I am totally utterly and completely in love with him. At some point I wasn’t sure of their position, tbh. Return to Book Page. There are some shocking moments in this one that I’m really curious how Ward will progress them.
I am disheartened as I had high hopes for Blay and Qhuinn. This was their story. I hope his Sexaholic Anonymous tendencies stop, it got a little too skeevy for me.
Qhuinn I loved the insight into Qhuinn’s childhood and how he hid so much from Blay. Not the equivalent of a wham-bam-thank-you-man. She always placed Qhuinn first. Just to be polite and all. But then there came that AHA moment more than half way through which was that shift we desperately needed. I guessed correctly on a lot things concerning this book before I read it.
The one thing I was really disappointed over was view spoiler [Qhuinn’s first time, when he bottoms for Blay. To the moment when Blay said he was Qhuinn’s family and Qhuinn cried. I so melted into sappy goo. I did however want to hit him over the head for not being honest with Qhuinn about his break up with Saxton!

Oh, they did eventually get their HEA but am I happy with how it happened? Lover at Last, the eleventh book in your extremely popular paranormal vampire series begins days after Lover Reborn. Yet they know that they are on opposite sides of this war. The last three pages made me tear up.
I have all of the original hardbacks!!
Lover at Last
Mostly, it felt like a set up to create conflict and a filler to make this novella of Qhuinn and Blay into a novel. My stomach was all a quiver and I seriously can’t wait to see where the story takes these two.
Why isn’t this in my hands right now?!
