The successor to the previously launched Galaxy S21 FE, rumored to be the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, might be unveiled by the company soon. Specifications of the Fan Edition (FE) handset have been leaked online, giving us an idea of what to expect from the smartphone. It is said that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 SoC, featuring a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is expected to sport a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary camera.
As per details shared by tipster Yogesh Barar (@heyitsyogesh) on Twitter, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could be launched in September. While there is no specific date available, Samsung has not provided any hints about launching a new FE-branded handset yet. It’s worth noting that the South Korean tech giant did not launch the rumored Galaxy S22 FE after the release of the Galaxy S21 FE in 2022.
According to Barar, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 chipset. The smartphone is said to feature a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
In the meantime, Barar claims that the Galaxy S23 FE will come with a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization, an 8MP secondary camera, and a 12MP telephoto camera. For selfies, the phone is expected to feature a 10MP front-facing camera.
Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will run on Android 13 out of the box and will receive 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security patches. Barar also suggests that it will house a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging and wireless charging. According to the details shared by the tipster, the phone will also have an IP rating for dust and water resistance.
